Installer support

The ScaleMax installer does not configure Kilo Code yet. The setup below is manual and takes about a minute.

Good to know

  • The model list Kilo fetches is scoped to your key, so it shows exactly what you can call.
  • Token limits and tool settings for a custom provider live in Kilo’s kilo.jsonc file, per Kilo’s documentation.

Troubleshooting

The model picker stays empty
Check the base URL ends in /v1 (or /token/v1 for a token pack) and that the key is pasted in full, then use “Fetch models” to retry.
A model returns 403
That model is not included in your key. Choose one from the fetched list.

Kilo Code and ScaleMax: questions

Does Kilo Code work with ScaleMax?

Yes, as a custom provider using the OpenAI Compatible API type, the ScaleMax base URL and your key. Kilo then lists the models your key includes.

Can I use Claude in Kilo Code through ScaleMax?

Yes, if your key includes Claude models. They appear in the list Kilo fetches from /v1/models and are called through the same OpenAI-compatible provider.

Is Kilo Code supported by the ScaleMax installer?

Not yet. Set it up by hand with the five fields on this page; it does not need any extra files.
